They aren't the best writers but they look and feel great. They write OK but they don't write quite as smoothly as a Pelikan or Lamy. I have the Epic Ivory swirl which is a stunningly rich resin pen - lots of depth in the swirls. My wife ordered the Autumn Leaves and I just got the new Winter Storm which looks like cracked ice. The Winter Storm is 5 inches long uncapped and unposted, so it is very comfortable to write with without the cap posted. Maybe these don't deserve to be in the top 10 but they are really nice pens for the price and they can easily be found on sale. Great review - Thanks! Balances are outstanding; Snorkels are excellent. BTW - If you're a needlepoint fanatic, the conical Triumph-nibbed Snorks with XF nibs are some of the nicest needlepoints out there on the vintage side. Balances are well...just awesome. Deirdre, on the Scriptmaster, do they seal up well when you cap them? I had a Double 8 (which is gorgeous, by the way), but ultimately didn't like it because of its tendency to dry out almost immediately, even when capped.
